Meet Dr. Abate

Dr. Abate, was born and raised in New York by  Southern Italian immigrant parents.  At the age of 13 he was first exposed to Chiropractic care.   At that time, under the tutelage of his first chiropractors, while gearing himself up to enter Chiropractic school, Dr. Abate began to study the philosophy of Chiropractic care and of Network Spinal Analysis. He graduated cum laude in 1990 with a B.S. degree in Biology from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY.  He continued his studies and in 1994 was awarded the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He also received the President’s Award for excellence in clinical work.

Under Dr. Abate’s leadership, The Back to Life Wellness Center became the largest privately owned wellness center within the city of Boston. The center’s team of practitioners aided the Boston community by customizing an integrative approach to each client’s needs. This earned him a Best of Boston award 4 years in a row from The Improper Bostonian.

Since 1995 Dr. Abate has been active in bringing wellness care to the HIV/AIDS communities of Boston and New York. He was the president of ‘A World of Choices’, a group dedicated to delivering complimentary holistic care to those with HIV/AIDS. He served on the board of directors for the AIDS Care Project and provided complimentary Network Spinal Analysis to their clients in need. Dr. Abate has also participated in the Boston to New York and the Northeast AIDS rides since 1997; and was the official chiropractor for Avon’s Breast Cancer Walk. In 2011 Dr. Abate, along with a team of NSA/SRI practitioners provided complimentary care to the residents of Integrity House—a drug rehab program in Newark, NJ.
